Week 2
January 11, 2026

1. What  insight or illustration from the message impacted you the most?

2. What does it mean that Sanctification = Jesusification?

3. Usually Bible teachers say sanctification includes two aspects: 1) to be set apart from sin, and 2) to be set apart for God. AB Simpson added a third aspect: 3) to be filled with God Himself. Why is this important? What difference does this make in a Christian’s sanctification journey?

4. From the illustration of the pig and the palace, where do you most see yourself right now — rescued from the mud, learning palace life, or still being drawn back to old patterns? Why?

5.  Read 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24. What stands out to you about who does the work of sanctification, and how does that change the pressure you may feel to “fix yourself”?

6.  Sanctification is described as transformation, not behavior modification. What’s one area where you’ve tried to change through effort instead of relying on Christ’s life in you?

7.  Read Galatians 2:20. What does it look like, practically, to let Christ “drive the car” in your everyday life right now?

8.  The Holy Spirit convicts without condemning. How can you tell the difference between the Spirit’s leading and guilt or shame, and why does that matter for growth?

9.  Pray together and give thanks to Jesus for being your Sanctifier. Pray that He will continue to transform you into His likeness. Invite Him to live His life in you and through you.

10.  Pray for your “FRANCES” (Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, Neighbors, Coworkers, Enemies, Strangers) to be drawn to Jesus as their Savior in 2026.
