The Oaks Community Church is a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled family of believers located in a middle-class neighborhood in southwest Bakersfield, California. We are part of the worldwide family of the Christian & Missionary Alliance and a home for the nations. The Oaks is committed to “Growing Spirit-filled Disciples of Jesus.” Founded in 1993, The Oaks has grown into a vibrant, multicultural, and multigenerational congregation that reflects God’s heart for all nations and all people, with approximately 300 people in attendance each Sunday. Our worship service is relaxed and family-friendly, with contemporary, upbeat music. We place a strong emphasis on local and global missions, and our worship center displays over fifty national flags celebrating the diversity of our church family. Though imperfect, we live by God’s grace and love, striving to embody the warmth of true community where everyone belongs and is cared for like family.
