Read Ephesians 6:1 

• For children, what is the relationship between listening and obeying? 
• How does this transfer to you as a child of God with listening to Him and obeying Him?

Read Ephesians 6:2 & 3

• Do you find this commandment hard to do or easy to do? What if a parent is not “worthy of honor”? 
• How do you apply these verses?
• If you have children or grandchildren (or nieces or nephews or have any input into a child’s life) what are some specific ways you can encourage them to honor their parents?

Read Ephesians 6:4a and Colossians 3:21

• What are parents commanded not to do? 
• If you are a parent have you ever found yourself committing these errors?

Read Ephesians 6:4b 

• What three things are parents commanded to do in this verse? 
• Which of these three things do you think is the hardest and which is the easiest?

Pray

• Pray for the parents’ raising children in your group, for God’s wisdom and strength to follow His Word.
• Pray for your “FRANCES” who may be parents to look to God for guidance in raising their children.
• Pray for each other’s needs.
