Scripture: Psalm 23; John 10:10–11, 14–15
  1. Read Psalm 23 aloud together.


    • Are you currently living with contentment, or do you find yourself longing for more?

    • Reflect on this quote: “Contentment is not the attainment of what we desire but the realization of what we already have.”


      • How does this truth resonate with you?

  2. Do you believe that God knows you better than you know yourself?


    • Have you experienced God’s individualized love in your life?

  3. Read John 10:10–11 and John 10:14–15.


    • According to these passages, how is Jesus the Good Shepherd?

  4. How are we like sheep?


    • In what ways are you like Barrak, Chris, or a “fence crawler”? 

    • Has your will—especially where it’s been warped or resistant—been surrendered to the Shepherd?

    • What has that process looked like for you?

  5. You can’t neglect your soul.


    • How do you strengthen your soul in the Lord?

    • Are you able to recognize when your soul is depleted?

    • What practices help you find restoration with God?

  6. Where in your life do you need refreshment, restoration, or to return to the Lord?

  7. End your time in prayer for your “Frances” — the person or people God has put on your heart to care for or shepherd.
