2. This series is called “Why the Gospel is SUCH Good News” – Spend time answering that question – why is the gospel such good news? How would you explain the gospel as good news to someone who is asking?
3. What part of Pastor Gary’s contemplation on the Cross at the beginning of the message stuck out to you the most?
4. Read 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 – why is Jesus dying on a cross so central to the Christian faith?
5. The great preacher Charles Spurgeon said “God helping me I will never go an inch beyond the cross, for to me all else is vanity and vexation of spirit.” What does this quote mean to you? Do you agree or disagree?
6. How was the communion and ministry time at the end of service? How did you experience God and the church community during that time? Did you go up for prayer or pray with someone? Share your experience (being mindful of confidentiality if you prayed with someone)
