Day 29 - A Living Sacrifice

Romans 12:1–2 (NLT)

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 6:13 (NLT)

Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

When we think about giving something to God, we often think about our time, our money, or our abilities.

But Romans 12 gives us a much bigger picture.

Paul urges believers to offer their bodies to God as a living sacrifice.

In other words, our worship isn't limited to certain activities or moments.

It's our entire lives.

Our thoughts. Our words. Our habits. Our relationships.

Our decisions.

Even the parts of life that feel ordinary.

Romans 6 also calls us to offer ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness.

That's a powerful invitation.

We don't simply give God the things we're comfortable sharing.

We surrender ourselves.

And as we allow Him to renew our minds, He begins transforming the way we think and live.

Heart Check
  1. What part of my life have I been holding back from God?
  2. What would complete surrender look like in my current season?

A Moment With Jesus
Jesus, I offer You my life. Renew my mind, transform my desires, and help me live in a way that honors You. Amen.

Live It Out: Write a personal prayer of surrender, naming specific areas of your life.
