Day 26 - The Beauty of Stillness

Psalm 46:10 (NLT)

“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

 Psalm 62:5 (NLT)

Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.

Silence can feel uncomfortable.

We're so accustomed to noise that quiet moments sometimes make us restless.

We reach for our phones, turn on music, or find something else to occupy our attention.

But Scripture repeatedly reminds us of the importance of stillness and waiting on God.

Stillness isn't doing nothing.

It's choosing to stop striving long enough to remember who God is.

Psalm 62 points us toward waiting quietly before God because our hope comes from Him.

Sometimes we don't need another answer immediately.

We need to remember that we're not carrying life alone.

Heart Check
  1. Why is it difficult for me to be still?
  2. What distractions are keeping me from spending quiet time with God?

A Moment With Jesus
Lord, quiet the noise inside my heart. Teach me to wait on You and find my peace in Your presence. Amen.

Live It Out: Spend five minutes in silence before God. Resist the urge to fill the space.
