Day 17 - A Song Worth Singing
Psalm 147:1 (NLT)
Praise the Lord!
How good to sing praises to our God!
How delightful and how fitting!
Music has an incredible ability to connect with our emotions.
A song can remind us of a person, a season, a victory, or a difficult moment.
But praise is more than music that moves us emotionally.
Psalm 147 reminds us that praising God is good and fitting.
Why?
Because He deserves it.
We don't have to wait until we feel especially inspired to acknowledge His goodness.
Sometimes choosing to praise God is what helps redirect our attention toward Him.
A grateful heart doesn't develop accidentally.
It's cultivated through remembering who God is and what He has done.
Heart Check
A Moment With Jesus
Lord, give me a heart that delights in praising You. Help me remember Your goodness in both extraordinary and ordinary moments. Amen.
Live It Out: Listen to a worship song and focus on the truth of the words rather than the musical experience.

Heart Check
- Do I tend to worship only when I feel emotionally connected?
- What has God done in my life that I need to remember more often?
