Day 15 - Different on Purpose

2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)

"For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Some people are naturally expressive. Others are quiet and reflective.

Some process their thoughts out loud. Others need silence.

And sometimes we assume that the way we experience God must be the way everyone else should experience Him.

But God created us with different personalities and stories.

Second Corinthians 3:17 reminds us that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

That freedom isn't permission to ignore God's truth. It's freedom from the bondage that keeps us from responding to Him.

We don't need to imitate someone else's personality to have a genuine relationship with Jesus.

God is interested in the authenticity of our hearts.

Heart Check
  1. Have I ever compared my spiritual expression to someone else's?
  2. Am I allowing others the freedom to respond to God without unnecessary judgment?

A Moment With Jesus
Holy Spirit, help me worship with an authentic heart and celebrate the different ways others express their love for You. Amen.

Live It Out: Release one comparison you've been making about your spiritual life.
