Testimonies - Stories of Life Change

Life change is at the heart of what we want to see and taste at The Oaks. We know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is powerful enough to produce it in all of our lives. We've seen it time and time again. Each time we see and hear it, we celebrate and praise our Lord.

Preparing your testimony is an exercise in growth that helps you realize and articulate the grace, love, and impact Jesus has had on your life. It also helps you feel confident and prepared in sharing your story with your friends and with people you encounter. You have a story that can shine light on people's lives and we want to help you prepare it.

Take time to create your story. It is wise to think in terms of a 1 minute, a 3 minute and a 30 minute story. Thinking and preparing in those terms prepares you to help change lives. Begin by answering and responding to these statements:

1. Before I came to Christ my life was...

2. Then I received Christ into my life. This is how I received Him...

3. After I received Christ, some of the ways my life has changed include...
